Sure all Leo-2 series does have better commander thermals and even 2PL does have better gunner thermal but lets be honest here, how often do you use your commander thermal in order to engage with enemy Mbts? not much in practice. One shot through mantlet goes for all Leopard-2 series in this game as well (actually its even worse because of double amount of spall modifier). Stat-shaming and calling other's losers is the lowest form of debate and has no relevance other than to distract and look foolish. However it's not worth insulting people over. So it's really just a meh tank, not just due to performance but due to the whole package. Hell the HC with a soft-kill APS and dozer blade is more interesting. It just isn't as interesting or cool as other 11.0s in other nations. It lacks cool add-on armor packages that spice up the tank or great thermals to set it apart. It's the best at nothing, ok at everything, which is fine but doesn't pop as much as having the best round in the game (2A6) or the best armor (T-80BVM). I love it, you'll see it's one of my most played tanks. 2A5 also has the same better gunhandling of the 2A6, better than the M1A2. The T-72B3 and T-80BVM also have better gun handling than the M1A2.Ĥ tanks having better mobility is no small thing, when they are only 6 nations with 11.0 tanks.Īll of this is not to say the M1A2 is bad, it's not. They have second gen CITVs and the 2PL has third gen for both I believe. But hull down, I find my Challenger 2 is often much more survivable than my M1A2.Īs for thermals, the Leopard 2A6, 2A5, and 2PL all have better thermals. But the Leopard 2 can also be survivable if someone shoots the wrong side of the hull (as long as you have no/little ammo in the hull rack. It is only more survivable if some is shooting the sides of your hull. The mantle shot is a consistent oneshot that any player worth his salt knows to hit and the turret roof often somehow ricochets rounds perfectly into your turret ammo.
